Asian American Student Association

About: Asian American Student Association is a student-led organization dedicated to educating our peers and community about the Asian American identity. This group was founded to create a safe and inclusive space for members and allies of our community. These spaces are intended for important conversations surrounding issues prevalent in the Asian American community. We aim to educate, advocate for, and empower our peers within GW.

AASA is constantly looking to interrogate what it means to be Asian American as we understand that this label encompasses many identities and experiences. AASA does not look to define what it means to be Asian American but looks to create a space where students may discuss this question themselves.

China Affairs Forum

About: Previously the US-China Strategic Studies Organization, the China Affairs Forum at GW is an organization driven by George Washington University students, dedicated to studying China from an objective and nonpartisan perspective. By establishing intellectual forums to discuss, analyze, learn about, and report on various international strategic developments regarding the Eastern nation, the necessity to understand and critically dive into Chinese domestic and foreign policy issues as young Americans is heavily emphasized. Follow and join us to become part of our movement to bring a fresh perspective to China studies and issues, while uplifting student voices in public speaking environments and providing a platform to build valuable professional skills.
