Programming & Events

The GW Chinese Arts and Humanities Initiative welcomes the university community to enjoy diverse and creative programming as part of our commitment to promoting Chinese language, arts and culture. We frequently support Chinese holiday celebrations, art performances, workshops, movie screenings, guest lectures and other programming on a wide range of topics related to Chinese culture. Events are primarily free and open to the public.

Workshops, Symposia and Conferences

The initiative supports GW faculty and student organization book talks, workshops, symposia and conferences. These forums help present new ideas, develop skills or convene the scholarly community to interact and debate on a given topic or theme. Please be sure to submit your inquiry for event collaboration.

Special Speaker Series

We welcome speakers of diverse academic, professional and cultural backgrounds to share informative and inspirational presentations about Chinese religion, history and other related fields. The Speaker Series provides a platform for experts to engage with the GW and DC community through dialogues.
